Gear List for Paddle Sports
It all begins with an idea.
Life Jacket
Important to keep you safe, and in some states, you are legally required to have one on board for each person
Water bottle
It’s important to stay hydrated especially on hot days.
waterproof phone case
This allows you to be able to use your phone and not worry about damaging it but you don’t need it if you just plan on putting you phone in the dry bag. I use mine to take above and under water photos and videos.
hat/sunglasses
On hot sunny days you might not be able to see well if the sun is reflecting off the water so bring some protection for your eyes.
crocs
When getting on and off your vessel there might be things in the water or on shore that you don’t want to step on so waterproof shoes that float are a great option, I just prefer crocs.
snacks
Not necessary but on long paddles a nice snack to fuel you is great!
sunscreen
Even short times out on the water can cause you to burn so make sure to put some on beforehand or bring some to reapply with.
anchor
Again, this is not necessary, but I like to stop and get off and swim and an anchor just makes things easier, definitely not a need though.
goggles
When I stop at places I will dive down and look for fish or other marine life and I think its much more enjoyable to swim with goggles.
dry bag
This is where you are going to store all your important things that you don’t want to get wet or sink if you were to tip! Keys, phone, wallet, extra clothes, towel, sunscreen, snacks and anything else you might need to bring.
These are all the things I like to bring when I go out paddling if you have any more things you think I should add to this list please let us know! Thanks for reading and check out our apparel to get geared up for your next adventure!
